Skulls and Swords

Within your living mortal skull
Resides the sword of creativity
That must be sharpened
If you are to wield the colors of your mind

Pierce through the insipid numbness
The poisons of the common diet
Boldly thrust into the astral plane
Stoke the hemispherical fires

Slash away at entanglements of doubt
Parry the blows of vapid detractors
Glow through the ecstatic darkness
Let your blood boil with desire

Each line and stroke will guide
Your uniquely crafted spirit
On a path of exceptional discovery
Into a stunning cosmos

Do not sheathe your sword, your lifetime gift
Bear it wisely, surely, strong, and swift
