The Anxiety of a Concept Piece
Apparently I’m just a test!
A concept in the rough
Meister Poul, please do your best
To make me strong and tough
With sword in hand, I feel the need
To do my duty now
Provide me with a winged-steed
If your pens and paints allow
Can’t you see I’m ready?
Hungry and prepared
Keep your ink flow steady
I’ll serve you unimpaired
A Sparrow-Knight I long to be
To soar the open skies
I have the mettle as you see
Warrior’s fire in my eyes
Make me live on every page
Don’t keep me standing here
In battle I must now engage
Or else, I’ll disappear!
You see my most impatient wife
She wants me to do more
Cooking, cleaning...not my style
Please save me I implore!
So, off we go to chapter two
It’s time for me to thrive
For, here is nothing left to do
For action I now strive!
