The Cat and the Tease
A clown with wings, and quite absurd
A grinning, wicked tease
Carried trays of yummy bird
And brought me to my knees
I really think there should be laws
Or, simple courtesy
I’m begging on my eager paws
Please save some fowl for me
O, dapper, frilly gentleman
Share your precious loot
Or, is this just a devious plan
To act the heartless brute?
These antics do not suit your style
They're far beneath your art
You’re supposed to bring a smile
And play a joyful part
The spirits haunting stuccoed-walls
Are watching what you do
With heightend sense, I hear their calls
To give me one...or two
Perhaps this moment is a dream
And you are in my mind
Please bring me a nice bowl of cream
And leave those tweets behind
