Bagpiper by Jean-Baptiste Monge. Link to his site.

The Piper

What is that enticing noise
Wafting through the glen?
What deep and heavy sorrows
To stir the hearts of Men?

A revered piper on a hill
Embraced in solitude
Focused on the moment
Plays notes of gratitude

O, natural Irish spirit

With stout and sturdy trunk
You share a place in every heart
With fairies, elves and monk

Leprechaun, I’m lucky

To hear your songs today
I value them most highly
Enriched by Danu’s way
