My Expression Fairy Writes Poetry
The Expression Fairy came to me
One day when I was blue
Kissed me sweetly on my brow
And told me to make do.
“You have ample chance to see,
A life with much more grace
If you believe, I’ll come to you
So, fairyland embrace!”
“I’m a man and rather plain,”
I told the fairy sprite
“I toil the day, invisible
And sleep away the night.”
“The television speaks to me
On any given day
I stare entombed in silence
With nothing back to say.”
Expression Fairy pinched my ears
With my beard began to play
Gently tapped me on the nose
“Please listen to your Fae!”
“Cast aside the darkness
And breathe a sweeter air
Unplug yourself from black abyss
Be seen and then you’ll care.”
As from a nightmare I awoke
And saw the day anew
I felt the spirits whispering
“Go forth and see it through.”
A brand new vision filled my heart
A longing to create
I started writing simple rhymes
To express enlightened state.
Now I write for Nature’s kind
No longer unfulfilled
I met my fairy just in time
On me, her dust was spilled.
