By Püg....YES ME!...BACK OFF!...I just want some pretties in my life....

There is no finer artist's tale
Than mine! I'm Püg and might impale
Your head or limbs upon a pike
If you call MY artwork frail.
My canvases are widely known
In Labyrinth my art was shown
Of banging heads and Goblin death
Or gruesome scenes to chill the bone.
Because I wanted to evolve
My techniques had to resolve
Experiments I took to heart
My patrons started to dissolve.
Did my princess anger you?
So what am I supposed to do?
Are happy Goblins not your thing?
Go have your own arthouse debut!
So picnics just are not your style
Too bad, they make me PÜGIN SMILE!
You think my flowers smell so bad?
Now you’ve made me more hostile!
I scoff at critics’ sad derision
What I paint is my decision
You don’t have a basic clue
You’re philistines with lack of vision!
Did people slight Caravaggio?
A human whose great art I know
There’s a man who had some fight
And knew just where his blade could go!
Though I am called by name, 'Guppie'
I’m no Goblin’s lap puppie
I won’t cut off my right ear
I’ll drink your blood in my cuppie.
You think I anger very easy
And find my paintings much too breezy?
You might try to change your mind
Before I smash your knobby kneezy!
For I am Püg! So, know my wrath!
I’ve taken up this violent path
No longer will be Goblin-pleasant
I’ll paint with red from your bloodbath!
You should have been so very proud
My art was joyous, bold and loud
Instead you crushed the local scene
And left our world to Brian Froud.
Now I write this angry verse
And Goblins of the world I curse
If you stand by me too near
I’ll pierce your paunch and steal your purse.
To Master Bregg I only speak
He understands an artist’s peak
I’ll try some poems, if it might help
For I’m an artist, still unique!
If I take up another brush
To my exhibit do not rush
I might display in Fairyland
Nice flowers make the fairies blush.
