The Fairy Dance
Oh Fairy Queen, I think I really found
Unique steps to dance to fairy sound
I’ve choreographed a humble small display
That I would like to show you on this day
Well, I’m delighted by your industry
Your movement I am eager now to see
It is a marvelous spectacle, I’d wage
So let my finger set for you the stage
The little sprite began to swoosh and sway
She flitted lightly in most every way
With twists and turns and sparkling pirouettes
Most fleet of foot, she danced for several sets
How modern and advanced, your stunning moves
I’m sure your fairy audience approves
Like Isadora Duncan for our kind
Intelligence and gracefulness combined
Queen Mother, you do make our hearts most glad
Your patronage is far the best we’ve had
We grateful fairy artists won’t forget
And choosing bold directions don’t regret
My dear, without your energies we’re lost
So I support you, never mind the cost
Now I’m inclined to throw a Fairy Ball
I appoint you art director for it all!
And so the fae performer made her mark
Imagined works on which she could embark
And music filled the effervescent air
Because the fairy artist took a dare
